In news that will please Chiefs fans this morning, head coach Dave Rennie has officially re signed with the club for another two years.
The expected re signing will see the Chiefs remain under the leadership of Rennie until the 2017.
Originally the thought was that Rennie would potentially head offshore and continue his coaching career there, but Rennie says he is happy to stay with the Chiefs.
Rennie has an impressive coaching record with the Waikato based club, leading the Chiefs to back-to-back Super Rugby title victories in 2012 and 2013.
Rennie also coached the NZ U-20’s to three consecutive world championship titles between 2008 and 2010.
Rennie has an eye for young talent and wants to stay on board with the Chiefs to be a part of developing so many young talented players.
The theme is set to continue as young talents like Damian McKenzie and Seta Tamanivalu arriving at the Chiefs and being touted to do great things under Rennie.
